An employer in Australia offers work to a skilled person from an overseas country. The employer sponsors the person to come to Australia. Business Sponsorship is the most commonly used program for employers that need to bring overseas skilled workers to Australia for work on a temporary basis. Overseas workers are granted a Temporary Business (Long Stay) 457 Visa.
Approved employers will be able to recruit overseas workers to fill nominated, skilled positions.
Prior to approval, DIAC require a lot of information from the employer about the employer and the position to be filled. EasyRecruit assists employers with the application and co-ordinates any requirements of DIAC.
In short, EasyRecruit streamlines the process to remove the stress and learning curve that the employer would normally have to undergo.
There is minimal disruption to domestic employment levels.
Growth in Australia is increasing and has created a shortage of skilled and experienced workers. Employers require many skilled workers to ensure projects go ahead; where these workers cannot be found they are sourced overseas.
Youth unemployment is not affected as employers are looking for skilled and experienced workers.
Where possible we seek to employ qualified persons living in Australia before searching our overseas databases.
Timeframes vary due to individual business requirements and the various visa processes and approval times vary from country to country.
In most cases the whole process will take between 12-16 weeks. EasyRecruit will do its best to expedite the process.
The employer selects workers from resumes provided from the EasyRecruit database. Our network of overseas offices have pools of skilled workers ready to come to Australia to enhance our database.
Once we receive a position description from an employer, EasyRecruit extract a number of relevant resumes from our databases.
The resumes are provided to the employer for selection of prospective candidates. Candidates will be selected or short listed from the resumes provided.
Telephone and Video Phone interviews are arranged if necessary and if required involving the Employer.
Workers on our database are all qualified to work as per their resume.
We have an extensive checking process to ensure qualifications as listed are true and correct and where facilities exist, we arrange for trade testing of skills.
EasyRecruit will replace the worker free of charge if they are found to be unsuitable within sixty days.
The Philippine government controls recruitment and worker movements. This department also makes sure the worker honours their work contract and that they are treated fairly by employers. To assist this department, there are strong regulations in The Philippines to ensure that only accredited recruitment agencies can operate.
The Philippines is the third largest English speaking country in the world and English is the first language of the country.
A great many workers on our databases already have experience working overseas.
Within The Philippines there are many accredited skills assessment centres where the quality of workers skills is assessed.
To employ an overseas worker, you need to have a fixed term contract relevant to the life of the Visa (maximum four years per Visa-grant); this can be set up to suit business requirements.
The terms on the contract will be matched with the temporary business entrant 457 Visa application and conditions.
Workers employed from overseas should be paid at the same rate as locally employed workers.
Department of Immigration and Citizenship in Australia (DIAC) specify a minimum salary of $43,440 (1st August 2008) plus 9% Superannuation should be paid to workers in the metropolitan area. (Current as at March 2008. Please check DIAC website - www.immi.gov.au for latest updates.
Charges are split into two distinct categories.
Our service & disbursement charges cover our standard fees and charges. This charge is a percentage of the workers first year's salary (including superannuation). The charge is paid in two installments - 50% within 7 days of the selection of the candidate & signing the Contract; the final 50% within 7 days of the written approval of the workers visa being approved.
Disbursements are the fees and charges paid to other authorities, related to relocating the candidate to Australia.
The "457" visa is issued subject to the worker being employed in his/her designated field whilst in Australia.
If work runs out, or if the worker is found unsuitable, then the employer must give proper notice to the employee under normal Australian IR (Industrial Relations) laws prior to termination (or within 5 days of termination) the employer must inform DIAC. DIAC will issue notice that the visa will be cancelled in 28 days and the worker will need to return to their country of origin. That is if the employee cannot locate another sponsor.
The employer is required to advise DIAC of changes to the workers employment status, and obtain permission prior to making changes.
EasyRecruit will do their utmost to find another sponsor and position for the worker within that period.
We are so confident of our system that we guarantee the following:
"If the worker is deemed unsuitable in the first sixty days, we will replace at no cost to the employer or a credit will apply as per our Terms of Business."
As long as the employer is willing to extend the sponsorship undertakings to the family members, the workers family can be included on the Visa/sponsorship application, or applied for at a later date.
We recommend that family members come to Australia after the worker has been in Australia for at least 3-6 months. This allows the worker to pass a probationary period and become suitably accustomed to Australian life so the family transition is smooth.
